I love the learning brains of preschoolers and how everything they touch is really about their imagination and exploration. With that in mind, I have put together a gift guide for preschoolers that I think you will love… but I know that they will love it because my own has proved it for me.
A Gift Guide for Preschoolers
Sylvania 4 GB Video MP3/MP4 Player is a perfect gift for younger children with older siblings (trust me, I know!). My son loves to listen to his Sounds Like Learning! songs and some of his Bible songs, just like his older siblings do. Of course, his isn't pink, but they do come in other colors. Be sure to pick kid safe eye buds that fit their small ear drums.
My son absolutely loves having his own Kindle that is child safe, and comes with a warranty, just in case. He loves the kids apps, and I love the learning that happens from his education time.
Fisher-Price Kid-Tough Digital Camera is a good thing for littles ones to capture their favorite things around them. My mom and dad bought our son his camera when he just turned 3 and it seemed like his favorite gift. It may be because he always sees me and his sister taking pictures and he wants to be just like us.
Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Electronic Reader and 8-Book Library: Story Reader ME Reader is a good thing for preschoolers who love to be read to you. We got our son the Thomas Tank Engine ones for his birthday and he enjoys just listening to the stories. I love that the can follow along with the book, with the chime to tell them to turn the page. (boy that brings back a lot of memories for me!) There are even more to choose from: Disney Classics Story Reader , Disney Story Reader Me Reader and Disney Princess Me Reader . All of these are 8 story books in each package.
Melissa & Doug Shape, Model and Mold is one of the coolest dough tools around, but I may be a little bias, because I love everything Melissa & Doug! Play-Doh has been around for a long time and children prove just how much they love creating in it. I love it when my son plays with his friends and they can sit and focus on their own creations. My son has been enjoying using alphabet cutters to create his name and the alphabet he already knows.
Discovery Toys Motor Works has been a toy that my son has been using a lot lately, since his daddy has been doing a few projects around the house. He loves being about to use a power tool of his own to take something apart and to put it back together again. Lots of fun again and again.
Gears! Gears! Gears!® Beginner's Building Set is another that boys and girls would love! The creation that comes from building is a good thing and then you have moving parts will give them hours of fun. They will love these bright colors, which can be done to sort colors as well.
Learning Resources Teaching Cash Register is a toy that my older two children would have loved to have, because they were always turning our living room or their bedroom into a store. This is a great learning tool for preschool through the first few years of school. I like having wooden pantry products and grocery store food for playing store.
Melissa & Doug Pattern Blocks and Boards is a a good thing for preschoolers to do with their hands. The bright colors and different shapes help them to think hard about what they need to place and is a great activity to build logical thinking. My older children have proved this to me first and now my younger ones are loving them as well.
Melissa & Doug Deluxe Wooden Happy Handle Stamp Set is a fun and creative activity for preschoolers. My son has been enjoying stamping his alphabet and dinosaurs. The main thing with stamping is to be you have plenty of colored ink and paper for crafting time.
