I have shared the preschool learning boxes that I have created for my little guy for alphabet beads, alphabet clothes pins, alphabet legos and now, I’m going to share an alphabet tile learning box that will give another opportunity to use the alphabet strips and animal strips that I offer as free printables to my readers. Don’t miss exclusive PDFs for all ages, including mom, that I add each month.
Alphabet Tile Learning Box:
- Decide if you want to use scrabbles, plastic tiles or magnetic tiles when putting together your learning box
- Print and laminate the free printables
- Be sure to have smaller storage bins for ease to get out and to take care of – one for the printables and one for the tiles
- Find a location to store your growing collection of learning boxes
Here is how to you teach your preschooler to use the alphabet tile learning box:
Pull out a few tiles at a time for the first time you are introducing this learning box.
Go over the printables that you are using for this activity. If you start with the alphabet, just beginning with one strip to encourage focus and accomplishment.
Put the first tile on the space that matches the tile.
Step back and allow your child to learn through hands-on learning.
Add more tiles and more strips as the child becomes more accomplished.
You may want to also give them a challenge to see how fast they can fill all the strips for one activity.
