We enjoyed a field trip to the Creation Museum the first week of our homeschool. Our children were so excited about seeing the dinosaur and learning more about them from a creationist perspective, solidifying our faith in the Creator.
It shouldn’t be a surprise that we are studying dinosaurs, the flood and the Bible account of what happened to the dinosaurs. Recently I shared a Creationist Gift Guide that has LOADS of ideas for some creation learning perfect for homeschool, a dinosaur lover or anyone from preschool through adult who wants to ‘dig’ deeper in learning about creation.
To make a dinosaur dig, you will need to have a container. I used our turtle sandbox. Place your desired dinosaurs at the bottom, spreading them out some.
Dump play sand on top of the dinosaurs.
Smooth the sand flat, so the dinosaurs are not visible.
Watch as your children use larger paint brushes to move the sand around to find the dinosaurs buried below. As you can see, this was a HUGE successful for my youngest, but my 11 year old was just as thrilled with this exercise.
